3D Modeling in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage

Objectives

The School aims to bring together young scientists developers and advanced users from geomatics and selected fields of application (photogrammetry, remote sensing, LiDAR, GIS, cultural and industrial heritage, archaeology, environmental monitoring) to study and discuss the latest developments in digital recording and 3D modeling of complex objects and sites, with emphasis on those of cultural heritage value.

Target Group of Participants

PhD students, young researchers and advanced users of new sensor technologies and methods for digital recording and modeling in environmental and heritage applications.

Location

The school will be held in the Department of Geography of Durham University.

Fee

The registration fee for the participants is £250 and it includes the participations to the labs and theoretical lectures, the scientific material, the welcome party and the social dinner of the event.

The deadline for the registration is May 2nd, 2010. Please send an email to remondino@fbk.eu with a CV in attachment. The selection of the participants will be based on the CV and on the criteria first-come first-serve.

Accommodation

We have reserved some rooms at special price for the participants of the summer school in the Business School and inDurham Colleges.
