International Conference on 'The Hellenistic Court' - Student Bursaries still available
Hosted by The Centre for the Study of the Hellenistic World (CSHW), School of History, Classics &
Archaeology, The University of Edinburgh, 25th-27th February 2011.
This conference aims to demonstrate the centrality of palace institutions in the cultural and political
milieu of the disparate societies that made up the Hellenistic world, and will re-establish the
importance of recognizing the royal court as a major component in the culture of the Greek-
speaking world in the period c 323-31 BCE.
Places are still available, as are a number of student bursaries covering registration and the
conference dinner. Interested applicants should contact Professor Andrew Erskine
